Multidisciplinary Studies, BMDS

Through the College of Creative Arts and Media, you can earn a Bachelor of Multidisciplinary Studies (BMdS) degree by creating an individualized course of study based on your career goals and artistic interests. You can combine different fields of study into one degree program that fosters creativity while providing opportunities in performance, exhibition and scholarship.

Our Multidisciplinary Studies major requires you to select at least two minors within the College of Creative Arts and Media, along with a third minor which can be selected from anywhere in the University, including the College of Creative Arts and Media. If three minors are chosen from the College of Creative Arts and Media, minors must be selected from at least two different schools within the College.

Some Creative Arts and Media minors require you to complete a successful process in order to enroll and/or complete the course of study.

Our MDS program gives you the flexibility of selecting three minors to create an individualized educational plan. At least two of the minors must be selected from programs offered by the College of Creative Arts and Media.

Program Facility - Creative Arts Center

Canady Creative Arts Center

The Loulie, Valerie and William Canady Creative Arts center boasts 4 exhibition spaces, 5 performance spaces, 33 individual practice rooms and 50 classrooms and studios with plenty of space to create. The loading dock at the rear of the building is a wonderful open-air space with stunning acoustics.
